Planning on chillin’ in the beautiful City of Baguio? Why not enjoy a burger while you’re at it!
My girlfriend, her family and I went on a trip to Baguio earlier this year. We also went to check out the local burger places. There’s a handful of joints in that city so I’m giving you a list of the DO’s and Don’t TRY restaurants in the place to save you some trouble!
Let’s start with the No-No!
I’ll save you the trouble DON’T TRY the following. I’m sure if you’ve been to Baguio, you’ve seen this place because of its beautiful facade. I mean, who wouldn’t want to experience a bit of American Diner experience here in the Philippines but, NO. If you want good burgers in Baguio. Avoid this one.
1. 50’s DINER
Their burgers are okay tasting but there’s really nothing special about them. You can taste the authentic Knorr tasting burger. If you want proof, here’s how their burgers look like:
Their version of PIZZA BURGER. 🙂 Now, let’s play a game. “Spot the Pineapple bits”
And this my friends, is their version of the CHILI Burger. They really love putting shredded cheese on their burgers. Haha. If you want a good CHILI Burger wait for the DO TRY Burgers below!
Next on the list! Nope, this is another DINER FAIL! Please don’t go to Baguio just to try this. I think they have one in Sta. Mesa and Tagaytay. So if you’re really curious, try it their. I’m not sure as well if they’ve closed down already but please feel free to let me know. 🙂
2. Mile-Hi DINER
Good to try other items on the menu but not their burgers!
Last and definitely the least is!
3. Bistro by Hill Station
Believe me, the WORST Burger I ever had. Reminds me of the old CRAVE burger. A complete DISGRACE to burgers. I suggest that they take it out of the menu to save them from food critics. I would recommend their steak but definitely not their burgers.
Here’s a photo from yours truly. Looks appetizing from my shot but it tastes like it was marinated in puke.
From the weird looking bun to the block of cheese that looks like a butter. I’ll give this a -10/10.
1. Canto Ribs in Ketchup Community

Catchy name, right? If you’re looking for a good burger in Baguio then this is definitely the place! Just like they say it “Me, we, siya, you. It’s for everyone!!!” Better try it for yourself but as per the folks of Baguio, they love it! Between The Buns recommendation?
Between The Buns: 150g double patties with your choice of sauce, double the cheese, topped with crisp fries and stacked with six dynamites (which will blow your mind)

So that’s about it folks, if you know any DO’s and DON’T TRY burger joints in Baguio, be sure to comment on the box below. Will try it when I come back for sure! Except for the Don’t’s of course. 🙂
